On Monday evening, Xfinity disruptions were reported across the San Francisco Bay Area, knocking hundreds of users down and disconnected.

 

Customers in San Francisco, San Jose, Oakland, Fremont, and neighboring regions were impacted, according to DownDetector's Xfinity outage map.

 

Xfinity customers started reporting outages about 9 p.m. local time, and by 10 p.m., more than 25,000 had been recorded.

 

Approximately 60% of individuals who reported concerns stated they experienced a complete blackout of Xfinity services, 30% reported issues with phone and internet, and 11% said they had signal issues.

 

 

Customers started reporting that services were back up and running about midnight.

 

Following the broad outage, a Comcast spokeswoman informed NBC Bay Area late Monday night that Xfinity services were beginning to return online. Comcast has been contacted for further information.

Some irate consumers resorted to social media to make light of the outage or to rant about it.

 

"I'll tell my future kids I lived during the great bay area xfinity outage of 2021," tweeted @elaineinthebay.

 

@ennasirk also mentioned: "Things that bring people together on Twitter in the Bay Area: #earthquakes and #xfinity outages. So far, only the latter has occurred tonight."

 

Others reported having difficulty viewing Xfinity's outage map. "When @Xfinity is down, their outage map goes down as well. Excellent, "Sergey Morozov wrote alongside a screenshot of the Xfinity website's issues.

Check the outage map to check if there have been any complaints of outages in your area.

 

Customers may verify whether their Xfinity services are down by entering into their accounts and visiting the Xfinity Status Center.

 

By texting OUT to 266278, you may also register your mobile phone to get text warnings regarding service disruptions. Log into your account and request a callback to talk with Xfinity about your outage.

What to do in the event of a power outage
If the power goes out, utility companies must restore electricity before Xfinity services may be restored. In some cases, Xfinity claims that electricity may be restored before Xfinity services are restored.

 

If your internet connection is down, Xfinity users may identify and connect to Xfinity WiFi hotspots until their connection is restored; just sign in to any xfinitywifi network using your username and password.

 

With the Xfinity Stream app, Xfinity subscribers may download programs and movies to watch offline on their mobile devices in the event of a power outage.
