Former chef claims Antonio Brown received a forged COVID-19 immunisation card and net worth

Former chef claims Antonio Brown received a forged COVID-19 immunisation card and net worth
Former chef claims Antonio Brown received a forged COVID-19 immunisation card and net worth

According to the Tampa Bay Times, Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Antonio Brown has been accused of receiving a phoney COVID-19 immunisation certificate from a former cook.

According to Steven Ruiz, Brown's former personal chef, Brown had his girlfriend, model Cydney Moreau, contact Ruiz during the summer to get a phoney vaccination card claiming that Brown had had the Johnson & Johnson injection. Moreau offered $500 for a false card, according to text exchanges obtained by Ruiz.

According to the complaint, Ruiz said he was unable to get a false card for Brown, but that the wide receiver showed him ones he had for himself and Moreau that he said he had obtained a few weeks later. Brown apparently refused to obtain the immunisation due to potential negative effects.

According to the New York Times, Ruiz went public with the claim when Brown failed to pay him $10,000.

The Buccaneers issued a statement in response to the Times piece, claiming they had "received completed immunisation cards from all Tampa Bay Buccaneers players."

"Buccaneers employees inspected all immunisation cards and found no abnormalities," the club claimed.

"If Antonio's physicians and the rules demand a booster injection, then at that point, he'll be delighted to give it live on TV and everyone can come watch," Brown's attorney, Sean Burstyn, told ESPN's Jenna Laine on Thursday.

Moreau informed the New York Times that she had never met Ruiz and that he had made false accusations against her.

Representatives from the NFL were there, according to NFL spokesman Brian McCarthy "I was made aware of the storey and contacted the club. We'll have a look at it."

After testing positive for COVID-19 four days before the game, Brown was unable to play in the Buccaneers' Week 3 defeat to the Los Angeles Rams. He was activated the following week, but an ankle ailment has forced him to miss the last three games.

Players do not need to get vaccinated. Players who refuse to get vaccinated must follow a distinct set of regulations, which include daily testing, mask use, not congregating in groups of more than three outside team facilities, no use of the steam room, not dining with teammates during meals, and rigorous travel restrictions.

The verification of a player's vaccination status is the responsibility of all teams. Players, coaches, and other team personnel must provide their immunisation cards to club medical personnel for verification.

During the immunisation card verification procedure, no NFL club reported any concerns. Vaccines were made accessible to Tampa Bay personnel on many occasions at the site.

Any effort by NFL club staff or players to utilise a counterfeit or phoney card would be considered a violation of the league's personal conduct rules, according to the league. Producing a forged vaccination card is also illegal under federal law. Prior to the start of training camp, the league brought up the issue in a video conference with all 32 NFL clubs on July 22. Due to the legal and safety concerns associated with fake vaccine cards, teams were instructed to thoroughly examine the cards.

Contracts and Controversy: Antonio Brown signed a five-year, $42.5 million contract with the Steelers in 2012. Antonio Brown signed a four-year, $68 million contract with the Steelers in 2017, with an average annual salary of $17 million. That was enough to make him the highest-paid wide receiver in NFL history until Odell Beckham Jr. got a contract for $19 million per year beginning in 2018. Antonio had many verbal spats with management of his new club, the Oakland Raiders, in August and September 2019. Brown was released by the Raiders on September 7, and his $30 million signing bonus was set to be rescinded. Antonio stated later that day that he had agreed to a one-year, $15 million agreement with the Patriots, none of which was guaranteed. So, if he were harmed after only one play, he would have made a huge mistake. Was this the plan from the start? Was this Antonio's ruse to get off a low-prospect club and onto what may be Tom Brady's last season in the NFL? We'll have to wait and see.

The passage of time revealed the truth. Antonio was released by the Patriots on September 20, 2019, two weeks after essentially throwing a guaranteed $30 million down the toilet due to an ongoing sexual assault allegation. The first $5,000 of his $9 million Patriots signing bonus is due on September 23. The $4 million second payment is due on January 15. He was due a $1 million basic pay and $500,000 in game roster bonuses, both of which he would almost definitely forego. In terms of signing bonuses, Antionio's contract stipulated that they might be revoked if he didn't perform well "takes any action that undermines the public's respect for the Club's ownership and coaches, or is significantly critical of them. As of this writing, it's unclear if his release on sexual assault charges would make the $9 million invalid. Antonio's total earnings for the 2019 season will drop from $30 million guaranteed to $9 million guaranteed if he does not collect the $9 million signing bonus.
